I have quite a large Lonicera Fragrantisima which has become a lodging for a native creature, Maybe Bushrat who are quite large, but cute. Dont have the heart to evict him but will try and get a photo and post it. sort of reminds me of a cartoon my boy was watching once...Fern gully. You with children will know what i am talking about

Hi Bobhi , Bush rats in your Bonsai , crikey id giving him marching orders or building him a tree house somewhere else .Thats a good looking trunk for a rat to chew on or nest in .Cheers

Its a nice tree. Would be a shame to needlessly move him, unless he did damage the tree.
Still he would make for a great living accent.

Yes they are busy little creatures. Unfortunately they are every where here. They eat the electrical cables and anything else they can get their teeth into. I think the spider and the rat are having a relationship Pup. Who am i to cast dispersions on animal/insect relationships.

Can u maybe put a little statue of a Chubb security guard out the front of the hole? Would that make a difference?

i was under the impression bush rats couldnt climb tho... you sure its a bush rat??

(seen that on a documentry that they couldnt climb)

Hey budhi,did you see the movie Grisswalds Christmas, one when the squirrel jumps out of the tree.That was hilarious.

By the way mate, that Lonicera is stunning!!! The bark is very unique and the foliage actually reminds me a bit of the Fukien Tea tree. Even the pot matches. I have never seen this species before. Checked it out on the net. Wow, stunning flowers and fruit as well. What a winner.!!
