Hello,
Recently I've began to notice some small white spots on the leaves of my bonsai. Is my bonsai getting sick?
And if so, how do I cure it? Thanks.

Scale. Spray hort oil with a dash of malathion. The plant will change colour if you do this from blue green to bright green.
It will take a long time to get back to its normal colour again. If you don't want that you need to use a systemic at least three times over a month.
If you don't want to do that you can use soapy water and spray every week for ever.

Alright, thanks for your help! Do you have any idea how scale is contracted?

If you want to go the soap spray option and have less applications, get better coverage and in turn, better knockdown, wrap the pot well in glad wrap, and immerse the whole canopy in a bucket of soap spray. Obviously this is only really possible if the tree is small.
Natrasoap, Eco oil will work also.
Cheers,
