I was allowed to quickly dig these this morning. I think I was a bit too rushy and lost a lot of roots. Hope they do ok. I don't have any experience with this species so any advice would be much appreciated. Pup? Anyone?

They do look like Melaleucas. The leaves look a bit like Sannantha/ Babingtonia/ Baeckea but I don't think the bark looks right for those so more likely Melaleuca species.
Looks like plenty of roots for them to survive on. Warm weather is the best for transplanting Mels so now is a good time of year to survive transplant. Just pot up into good potting mix, water in well and put them somewhere a little protected for a few weeks. Don't let them get dry while recovering. Sometimes the leaves will turn brown and drop. All is not lost! New shoots will usually grow after a few weeks so don't give up too early.

I am not great at distinguishing letpo/mels etc, but the root ball looks okay. I think they'll stand a good chance. Its a good time of year to dig them.

Hi Kvan ,I picked up several a month ago ,they had a little more roots. I have had a lot of rain and they have been very damp and they are just starting to push a little growth. Not sure if this is a coincidence or actually might be helpful.

Good Luck John.

Thanks Shibui, Rory and John. I have potted them with 50% Diatomites + 50% Bunning's premium potting mix. Usual Seasol + SuperThrive. They've been looking good since potted so hope they'll keep that way
