Melaleuca linariifolia from the Hunter

This is a Melaleuca linariifolia, narrow leaf paperbark, collected in the Hunter region of NSW. These trees grow stunted in certain areas of very shallow soil, making even the smallest trees a significant age, including this tree.
One of the most beautiful things about Melaleuca is its diversity of character particularly the wild linariifolia. These trees are rugged yet are highly elegant all in the same breath. This is mostly so when working with collected specimens of this species.
The tree has just had its first styling with my client, friend and owner of the tree Andrew Fitzgerald.
Planted in a beautiful pot by Penny Davis, Mudlark pottery.

We are looking forward to seeing this killer little tree progress over the next season!

Thanks guys.
Its a cracker piece of material! thin but very detailed and interesting.
There is actually almost not one straight section on the trunk when observed three dimensionally, which makes this quite a rare piece.
Nothing beats collected material in my eyes :tu:
