A very dwarf variety. Very delicate, brittle and slow. (I won't be doing any more of these!)
Anyway, it's less than 25cm high and a layer from 20 years ago.

Beautiful tree and a great pot choice!

Lovely tree. Always good to see some lesser used varieties!

Awesome colour, great leaf shape and getting some nice bark. Would love to see it after leaf drop.

How do these do on their own roots Treeman?

Theres a little hidden nursery out past my neck of the woods which are selling these in large cloth bags for around $180. The trees are pretty much what i'd expect for a full sized dwarf Japanese Maple (albeit grafted) but could make for some great layering stock.

Surprisingly quite well. If the graft is done well you might be able to use them as is.

Great news, i've heard they're decently sun tolerant compared to other maple cultivars too, which is surprising given it's very soft and feathery foliage. I'll have to really think picking one up now.

How is yours progressing?

Beautiful little Maple Mike, just love the lacey leaf variety of Acer's. Also looking forward to it's Winter mode.

Even those shade of green are great, let alone those red's! Great tree you have there Mike looks worth the 20 years to me.

Hey Mr. Truth... Treemans maple is absolutely stunning. I'd love to plant one in the ground & have as a feature tree in my garden. Wondering if you wouldn't mind helping out. If you could send me a pm that would be great.
