Port Jackson Fig

Hi guys,
Only just found this forum and figured no better place to ask a question.
Have had this fig for 6 months now and the leaves have a slight yellowing in dots too them.
Just curious as to is it under or over watering? (I heard they were tough and hard to over water) and can fertiliser be too strong for these types of trees.
All very new to this!

is it kept indoors or out? the small white dots are nothing to worry about (salt glands if i remember correctly). hard to say why the leaves are yellowing though.

Hi Keiran, no fertiliser is too strong for these bad boys. Search fast growth method in the forum and you'll be surprised how much they can take.
Yellow leaves usually indicated a nutrient deficiency, give it some seasol and a feed-whatever you have it'll take.
Read up about watering, and enjoy the learning

Depends on the day if it's too hot it goes inside but I front of window, not so hot on East Coast now can just leave it outside?

It is a tree - it should be outside unless there is frost. In front of a window is not good for the tree. You can display a finished bonsai inside for one or two days a fortnight. How well do you water it ? Oh and welcome too

Maybe a Moreton Bay Fig? I know species ID wasn't on your list but just thought the leaf looked a bit more like that! Either way, none of that changes what Isitangus said. If you're on East Coast (mainland I guess?) no need for indoor treatment, fertilise, fertilise... water, keep the sun up and it should GROW!
