Was curious to know whether Flowering Cherry and PJF would require a different type of osmocote fertiliser?

Both will be ok for the moment with osmocote shrubs and trees but supplementary liquid fert will give even better results.

When the cherry gets to flowering stage it is worth using a higher K fertiliser that will promote flowering. I use 'flowers and fruit' fertiliser from mid summer through autumn for my flowering bonsai so they flower better the following spring. Any fert for flowering or fruiting plants is ok - Fert packs that say tomato, citrus, azalea, etc. are all quite similar and will suit flowering cherry.

PJF loves fertiliser. I use osmocote controlled release in the mix but also supplement with liquid ferts every few weeks and monthly Chook poo pellets as well.

PJ Figs are fertiliser pigs! The more you feed them the more they eat...

Got a bag of rooster booster and its not in use until i actually start repotting mid march to april/june.
Amgro all purpose is the highest i got in K rating of 10 but I also have seasol/powerfeed concentrate as well.

What about some sprinkle of Potash from bunnings with a N0 P0 K41 - 17 - too much I believe? No clue what the 17 is for but I guess its trace elements like zinc etc...

Amgro all purpose is ok. It has relatively high K and says it helps with flowering. N:P:K =21:2:10 so still relatively high N. It will be good for plants that are still developing.
Yates 'flowers and fruit' is the one I am using at the moment but plenty of other choices. It has Ingredients: Nitrogen, phosphorus, additional potassium and trace elements NPK – 14 : 2.6 : 21. Note K is higher than N. It still has all the elements the plant needs but with higher K than the others to help boost flowering.

You can use sulphate of potash as well as your usual fertiliser but need to be careful because it is pretty strong and tends to acidify the soil. I would stick to a complete fertiliser like the amgro or flowers and fruit above to be safe.
BTW: the extra numbers after NPK is usually Sulphur. Sulphate of potash has potash and sulphur (funny how the name says it all ) and not much else. Used as a side dressing along with your usual fertilisers.

Remember you only need to use higher K when the plant has matured and ready to flower. Young plants that are still growing and maturing should have regular all purpose fertiliser to help them grow.

Still young, girth is still stick thin..plenty of time
