Hi..I am new to this forum and bonsia in general.
Have recently transfered the trident maple from the punnet to the bonsia pot around 2 weeks ago.
As the picture shows, the maple doesn't look to healthy with drooping leaves.
I have been watering them maybe not enough and they are placed in a sunny but shaded spot
Can you please suggest what I am doing wrong?
Cheers

Hmm..Looks like its ok, keep up the watering with seasol daily. Twice a day on really hot days. Young leaves tend to burn so maybe watch out where you place the pot. Morning sun would be my recommendation till it gets settled. Good luck..

How much sun are you getting on a daily basis ie:8am to 12pm.
Try to not over water, could also be the cause of drooping leaves.

Pines and tridents need different conditions. Pines need to be able to dry slightly between watering whereas your trident would need more water in summer and a lot less in winter when it losers its leaves. In other words, not ideal to have them in the same pot. And what is the grassy stuff you have growing? This may compete with your trees taking nutrient and root space.
When you potted them up did you remove much of the roots on the trident? It could be that the roots system can no longer supply enough water to the current foliage mass. And if the potting mix isn't well drained you might have root rot if it stays too moist. Maybe reduce the foliag by either doing a bit of a trunk chop or remove half the leaves.

Thanks for the feedback. Will certainly take it onboard with all your comments.
After soaking the soil yesterday, the trident seems to be recovering. The soil was rather dry before the soaking.
Cheers

Also the size of the leaves appears too large for the branches supporting them which may lead to them drooping.
