On the weekend I acquired the Juniper pictured below and I was wondering if I could get some styling advice.

When I look at the tree, I can see that it could possibly make a nice semi-cascade (which would require the chopping of the branch on the right), or taking the safer route and going for a twin trunk.

I wanted to get some bends into it, then pot it up to promote some growth (or is the current pot big enough).

Very typical of a smallish Juniper and a common problem to make a nice convincing tree.
Twin Trunk is no good as the split is too high. A twin trrunk must have both trunks starting at the nebari and not above as a branch as this one has.

The Semi cascade is an option by tilting the tree to the left in your first pic.
A windswept is also doable.

Attached is a virt with the trunk tilted to the left @ 45 Deg, and the right branch then bent about 95 deg to the left as well. Raffia and wire this will be easily doable.
the foliage is much reduced as well as I like my Junipers to be quite sparse.

Looking again the lower foliage needs to reduce, and the upper not so thick as well.

More movement in the lower trunk to remocve its stragightness too.

I will definitely be giving this a go on the weekend and I will upload a photo on Monday. Early February isn't too late is it?

Would it be worthwhile potting it up, or will its current pot be big enough to promote growth?

The current pot would be plenty big enough.

I would not pot it now if I were you. For now, I'd just feed and water until next spring.

Yes I forgot to mention that too.
No need to repot yet, Just shape and wire as it is.
Tilt the pot as needed to get an ide of what it will look like once you do repot

Thanks guys. This will be Saturday mornings project.

I think I still need to reduce some of the foliage, but I figured it would be better to leave it and come back to it in a couple of days than chop too much. And I do need to bend the trunk quite a big more to achieve the angles.

Didn't realise how blurry the photo was till I looked at it 5 minutes ago.
