Fig -Root over rock

Hi all... Thought I'd post this one up.
Had it about 20 odd years from seed and it has seen its ups and downs! While my other figs were powering along this one was definitely on a down a few years ago with leaves dropping, not taking up water, and in a very sad state. I ended up defoliating and with some careful watering it came back.
It's not going to win any beauty contests but given its journey is sentimental to me.
The aim at the moment is for more ramification and for the thin root on the left side to thicken up which it should do in a few years.
I'll post a pick when in leaf

Sick tree

Healthier

looks impressive, i am actually trying to get one of mine to look more or less like that. the roots at the base of the rock however seem to be a little "weird" for me, probably because of the crossing roots.

Thanks guys... Yes the roots at the very base look a bit strange at the moment, it was a few thin roots that I wrapped right around the rock to secure the tree...but left there..... I think some of this might have to be cut, manipulated or buried a bit deeper... Will have a look at the next repotting.

I have no exp with ROR, but I have seen the rock disappear ... eventually, I'm thinking a much bigger rock!

A nice looking tree, As for the rock, give it a few years and the roots will blend into the rock.

Nothing much wrong with that one

I like it.
The trunk has nice taper as do the branches, and the tree is well placed on the edge of the rock rather than smothering it.

Hi guys. Here's this one all leafed out. Needs a bit more filling out on the low right back branch and some of the upper left areas but I think it's getting there...also developing a low rear branch (not really visible from this angle) that my nephew broke a while ago... Maybe I should have let them play with the ball in the house!!
