Oh! bugger pt 3

Well as I have said many times to others as I do this. As for not taking pics another oh bugger after I took the wire off.
Gary you were right there must have been that horrible sound we all dread, when you wear hearing aids it is even worse.
Well here are the results of the big stuff up
. One positive is the stump is still alive and looks like it is going to sprout new buds.
The little one in the pot is what remained alive. Which proves that if the wound is wet it will send out roots. When I took of the wire the top just fell off
So here are some more pics. It is a Chinese elm for those that have not been following the story thus far

I was going to add the pics on a new thread but I realised I chucked the last ones on your thread when you inspired me to do this.
So I might as well do the same again.

After the bend. This was the middle of April

And with the wrapping removed just before I took it to the Peter Adams workshop at the end of June 2 and 1/2 after the bend. I was very pleased with the whole result and felt that I might even be happy with the flow of the trunk.

I must have pushed it about as far as I could. This pic shows the stress fracture across the trunk.

Thanks for the inspiration and tutorial to do this Pup. It could have been a very different future for the tree without this. I am looking forward to alot of fun with this tree over the next few years now.

Thanks for the heads up Brett and I am glad that I was of help. It is a most satisfying feeling when you help some one to move in the right direction.
Even if yours was a bloody failure
. The stump has a lot of promise though. When the weather here warms up and stops raining, although we can still do with the rain. It can stop for a couple of days now so I can get some work out side done.
Although Mrs Pup reckons its good as she is getting something done around the place.
