Clero and Celtis Shohin under construction

When I fade my first visit to Rod's place, mate I wondered around like an kid in a lolly shop, and I hope I don't embarrass him by saying you'll never meet a more humble bonsai creator than him.
On my visit I went home with a few collected Clero stumps and Celtis and maybe something else but this is where they are now, I have had them for two years (?) and have simply kept them trim and put them in new pots this year around Sept.
What I really cannot wait to do is introduce the carving tool to the, we'll see how the summer timing goes, it can always wait till another time.
Absolutely gorgeous bark on this one and already huge potential as a Shohin. this one not as easy to figure out but it'll come. This was merely a stick 2 years ago and too straight at that, so some time, some wire and a clamp and a repot, here we are and the Celtis,
haven't done anything with this but re-pot it and now that I look at it I didn't do that quite right either, but it's only a beginner pot for it so we'll see where it goes.
