Hi all, have found a few of these on my trees and am unsure if there doing good or not ?
Do i squash or save ?

Squash one can defoliate a tree in a couple of hours.

Collect them in a bowl and take them out into the bush and let them go. Better for your Karma and the insect life.

they are called looper worms and are larvae of a moth.

Dipel will control them.

Probably right...... next time i might just bring it across the road and dump it in their garden, cant stand those people

I usually get about 1/2 dozen ore so each year, but a few years ago when I posted the original thread I had heaps.
None so far this year that i have seen

Well I would say depending on the time of year they can be good as they will defoliate the tree for you.
Saves you from doing it

Which fence did you chuck that guy over and how far did you chuck it
Maybe all the way to my place
Found a couple of these feeding on a kunzea here a couple of days ago
