This tree was collected two years ago, so just a little progression on what was accomplished today.
so as it was this morning from each angle,

and after today, it may look a little bare, yes I broke a branch off in the middle in my enthusiasm.

The new front is falling away from the viewer is it not?
to me that looks funny.
Prefer #866 but rotated a little more to bring the top to the viewer

what was your tool of choice for carving?

Agree with Ken on the front, angling off to the left is pretty dramatic and the hollow section on display creates interest, this view for me has more going for it - but the choice is yours... Good luck with it, it's a nice tree!

yeh, thanks guys, the picture suggesting the front is certainly a rotated version of 866, but of course tilted right forward to try and fix that "leaning away from you" problem.
Always difficult to get it right when then in a broccoli box, will take this suggestion on board when it's time for a repot, next year, methinks
