Dane, as a water gum, do you know the botanical name?
I have a more mature "water gum" but I would like to research it. Have posted it here as an ID request but no luck.
Can you assist?
Thanks
Watty

I like what is going on here.
Don't see enough gums on this Australian website?

Apologies for overriding this post but I believe it is of the same subject;
Ken/ Dane can you tell me if this is the same tree?

First , your Wiki lead doesn't seem to lead much into NQ as a habitat?
Second, I am in NZ at the moment so don't have info to hand.

Hey wattynine not sure what you have there. But I think it's safe to say we don't have the same species, water gums to my knowledge sport a very light bark/trunk and the new growth being a deep red/ maroon colour. New foliage is also the red/maroon colour though matures dark green.

Thanks boics it's one of my favourites.
