Hi Guys,
Just wondering whether or not I should have started my post winter feeding (Victoria). As soon as we see new growth begining? Has everyone else started feeding their trees yet?

Seaweed for me to as I am still repotting. Technically we are still in winter but my plants don't know that

Will start normal feeds in a few weeks

Never stop except when it is presipitating on fert day wait till the next day.

Pup, are you saying that you never stop fertilizing? Do you change your regime at all during the year?

After seeing your trees I would like to know what you do, could you please describe your process?

I use chemical fertilisers.
On my exotics I use Phostrogen all year at fortnightly intervals.
On my natives I alternate between Phostrogen and Miraclegro for Azaleas and Camellias.
One fertilise with Phostrogen next with miraclegro.
I do not use miraclegro on Ficus species, as it is high in Nitrogen and we do not want large leaves.
The Phosphorus content in either one has never caused me any problems with my natives.
I use at the manufacturers recommended dose. Not half or quarter.

Remember Scott I live in WA, where it is a different climate to yours. We seldom get minus temps in 15 years living where I do I have had 2 frosts.

Peter Adams is quoted as using it as a low Nitrogen fert. In winter in the UK.

Thanks for the great advice Pup on fertilising.

I have been completely confused as everywhere seems to give a different set of rules.

Having seen some of your trees I'll give it a go.
