Does anybody know of a crushed (deconstituted) granite source in Adelaide?--been searching but all seem to be interstate.

Black Hill Mines, ships Australia wide slabs of black Granite Slabs.

There used in Buildings,City Kerbing and Tomb Stones, not sure wether they crush waste as part of there business?

Granite tends to be cut in slabs so very little waste, smaller bits would be cut for paving or kerb product as Crushed product won't get a good dollar return.

Decomposed Granite is the word you are searching for.

It is the result of the weathering and breakdown of granite naturally.

Just be careful crushing it, I read in one bonsai book, that granite dust is carcengenic. (spelling sorry) They recommend you hose it down and wear a mask.

Check out your local Soil suppliers/Garden centre. A lot of "Blue Metal' is granite (if not all now days) and the stuff they sell as Crusher Dust is a good addition in place of Decomposed Granite. As said previously though make sure you wear a mask when removing the dust part and make sure the 'chips' are fully and completely washed. That dust will turn to concrete if you add water. (A tip, if your Garden Centre will allow you to bag some of your own is to scrape off the top, as most of the dust has blown away from the top of the heap ;) )
