Is it too late?

Quick question-given the unseasonally "warm" weather we are experiencing in Sydney have I missed my window to heavily root prune my elms? Day time temps in the 20's...?
I have been waiting for "late winter" but looks like we may have missed that part of the season.

Are they Chinese Elms? English Elms? (both are relatively hardy)

How old? / How long between repots?

Look at each individual tree, is it's leaf buds unfurling? If not you should be right to go, If new leaves are forming you can wait until they harden off, and still should be ok. Just be mindful of after care - sheltered position wind and sun, water sufficiently, no strong ferts etc.

My chinese elms don't even really go dormant here and I seem to be able to repot/root prune any time. They are tough as. I don't have any experience with english elms sorry.

Same with me and I did them all last week ( chinese elms), whether they needed it or not :-)

Do them now,
