Here is a little tree which was grafted onto JWP stock a few years back. This is its first shaping. I think it will make a respectable little shohin in time.

This is the other half of the tree. I will keep this for a while to use for taking scions before I cut it off.
The wired half looked similar to this before shaping.

Looks like it has a great future, is there much stock of this dwarf white pine about?

No Gerard, It's a one off. It came from a batch of seedlings and I probably would have lost it if I didn't graft it onto stronger stock. I will try to propagate but its extremely slow. I think it was grafted in 2001 or something..

Quite a nice tree there in the making Treeman. Being a dwarf variety I would imagine they are very slow growing. In one way a good attribute for bonsai, although depending on your current age might be one the grand kids get to enjoy more  Be interested to see the progress.

Very modest of you. That should be beautiful in years to come. Very nice, Treeman :D
