I recently was directed to a bonsai nursery in Premier Street, Oxley, Brisbane. Owners name is Robyn.
Abundance of knowledge and not scared to share with you information about all the stock.
His own personal collection is absolutely stunning.

I haven't been to one before.
I will have to visit more to make a comparison if anyone knows of any other in Brisbane Region close to the city.
Please reply.
Only to the normal nurseries.
The stock was not a huge selection but sum prime pieces to choose from.
And a piece of Penjing that is out of this world, a stunning display from China.
Next time I am down I will ask if I can take photo. and post it. WOW WOW WOW

I ended up with a couple of Cedars $16 each 100mm pot Cedars 12" from the top of the pot nice foliage
A European Olive for $25 what a beauty has the lot will post up pictures
A Buxtus for $20 6" nice looking needs a clean up in spring

Regards
Rae :hooray:

Robyn is a really cool and helpful guy who is always happy to chat. His prices are pretty good too :tu:

The other nursery I go to is Australian bonsai grower. Steve is the owner there and is also pretty easy to talk to. He has a LOT of stock at all stages of development. His prices are higher but not unreasonable.

I haven't been to Oxley, might check it out. Australian Bonsai Grower's is good and the other place I go to is Bonsai Northside in Morayfield. It's probably a good thing that none of these nurseries are near me or I'd be there every weekend getting new stuff.

klarey,

thanks for the tip. I found Robin to be great with the info. And probably good that I don't live too close. I could have spent a couple of hundred easily, but thankful that I didn't gives me good reason to go back again.
What suburb is the Australian Bonsai Nursery located?

Beano,

Highly recommend Robin's place. I haven't yet got to Morayfield Nursey but have plans to go soonish. When I can get away up there a bit of a drive.

Regards
Rae :D

Australian Bonsai Grower is situated at:
19 Hubner Rd.
Park Ridge
It's on the South-west side toward LoganLea and Beaudesert areas.
Steve Rawkins is the man to talk to.

Thanks Brian,

I will pay him a visit soonish. Have to save some cents first.

This has nothing to do with the subject matter at all.
But if anyone is around West End, at all. The Nursery on Montague Road, West End has some great little Elkhorn ferns going for $10 each. Not a thing to do with bonsai.
But what a great space filler for the pure beauty of the plant.
