Stunning! Really makes me itch to get over there, not just to study, but to see all those amazing sites

I am going on this trip. Also so far Jim and Ian; both senior members of Canberra Bonsai Society and senior volunteers, along with me, at the NBPCA. National Bonsai and Penjing Collection of Australia.

A small group with a native speaker leading the tour, can't do better.

Looking forward to all the bonsai nurseries and the show; but especially looking forward to the pots in Tokoname.

There is also a major sales area attached to the Kokofu.

Room for more to come but the tour is limited to 8 to 12 people. I will have 20 copies of the program at the Bonsai By The Harbour but please contact Shuji ASAP to secure your spot on the tour.

I was in Omiya in April, and also saw this tree.
My 9 yr old asked one of the guys working at the Mansei-en nursery "which one is the oldest tree?"
He was enthusiastically guided to this tree by the worker, and told "This tree is our oldest tree .... 2000 years old".
Kids were in awe.
The guy then pointed to the tree directly adjacent to it (also a juniper), and said "This one, not so old... only 1000 years".

For those of you coming to Bonsai By The Harbour; I will have brochures and the proposed itinerary with me.

Should be a great tour; one member of Ausbonsai so far is now coming as well.
