Hi there, My name is Glen and I'm new to Bonsai. I have been interested in Bonsai for a while and received a Juniper for my birthday recently.

So I'm totally new to the art. I'm sure my Juniper will be the first of many.

I am only newish myself and have got a wealth of advice from the more experienced.

Very nice Juniper, I have only a few starters and hope they grow to look as good as yours.

You have a nice healthy looking tree there. I hope you get a great deal of pleasure from it.
I was a little concerned when I saw the second photo was taken indoors. Please be aware it won't fare well if left inside for very long - needs full sun and fresh air to remain healthy. Also standard (and excellent) advice is to join your local club and draw on the experience of others. There are some fantastic trees and very talented bonsai artists in your area ready to help.

Yes certainly join a local club and be amazed by the amount of advice and inspiration from othe enthusiast. You are of to a good start, Junis are very good and hardy species for novices. All the best in bonsaiing

Hi Glen.

This site is great for gathering information. The Wiki accessed by the little bar to the top right is brilliant.

Being in Perth you're lucky with the access to clubs and I think you will gain a lot from them.

Careful, my bonsai interest got fired up again last year. I know have a few "pre bonsai" plants I am trying to keep alive first before moving to full fledged bonsai.
