I have been trying to get onto the Ray Nesci website which is linked to all his listings but there's a different website there now in a different language. Is there an email for Ray Nesci ?

Try adding the au after the address. I think they have forgotten that

Hi bonsaibeginer,
Adding the au fixes the problem. I'm not sure when it changed as I have used the old address for many years. If anyone has it in their favorites, go in and add the .au to the end of the address and all should work fine.
Regards Ray

I have to say, ... I love Ray Nesci's bonsai nursery, and thoroughly love spending time with him and Clinton, but his website.... *sigh*..... underwhelming would be an understatement. But then again, I rate his stock and shop as the best of them all, and his website as the worst. Having the opposite problem would be terrible.

Is there more than one page to the website - I am unable to access anything other than the welcome page? On another note, visited Ray's nursery yesterday for the first time. Wow!!! Came away very happy with my purchases. Will definitely return.

Yeah its just one page, but as mentioned above I am happy that he spends his time on his trees rather than his website. He even has time to price his trees!
The address is
http://www.raynescibonsai.com.au/

Some tech head should offer to rewrite Ray's website in exchange for some pots or something. If only I had those skills....

Checked out Ray's site and it isn't so bad in IE but compatibility issues would be confusing for website visitors. Not hard to fix if you have a bit of time to learn but as said all time is being better spent on the trees
Maybe an error on his first page but I'll just check with others that understand japanese. I was under the impression that bon and sai are not japanese words? I mean they are, but in japanese they mean different things and have different kanji. I was under the impression that the words and those meanings were from chinese? Glad to be corrected and would love to learn the truth. I know at least to the lay japanese person when talking about the word bonsai, bon and sai do not have separate meanings.
Edit: fixed grammer.

I have those skills but i don't think he will be interested. I think he's business is more word of mouth and him selling at shows etc rather then advertising through his website. Looks like his contents haven't even been updated since 2004. For a busy business such as his and one that doesn't rely on the website to bring in clients, he needs a simple wordpress site which would allow him to modify contents easily and automatically. Static sites simply don't work for people with very little knowledge on websites.

Gosh I remember Internet Explorer. People used to use that in the old days.
Thanks Steven.
