Hi everybody,
my ex took my filigree maple last year and im sure it suffered some heat and lack of water and wrong positioning.
I have it back and I am trying to save it, it now gets consistent water and is placed well in the garden. I have had to trim dead branches off it and any new growth seems to curl up and die as per rthe attached pic.

trunk looks green and healthy just new shoots don't seem to get far before drying out and falling off.

Hi mate,

Give it seasol, a small amount of slow release fert and shade the leaves when its over 30 degrees. Some fungicide wouldnt hurt just to rule out the possibility although I doubt its a fungal infection.
You got a pic of the pot/soil?

Regards,
Mo

Thanks Mo,
its in a rescue pot with good soil, roots/ soil looked fine and showed no sign of rotting or anything unusual. there's new budding appearing that looks healthy, so hopefully it will pick up.

Sounds good mate, just keep doing what you're doing.
