Hi all,
Still a newbie to posting so

I am not sure if anyone can help but I have over pruned a M. linariifolia forest 4 days ago while repotting and one of nine (not a trekkie reference) is not looking well. Freshness and new growth tips are gone. I have soaked the lot in seasol for 48 hours and the other 8 are looking fine. Is there anything else anyone would recommend.
PS I am in Melbourne and we have some warm weather on the way.

Do not panic it will recover, I have had them sulk for months then start going crazy.

Same here in Victoria. Can't explain why 1 in a group is behaving different but they usually bud out after a while.

Thanks for the input but I neglected to specify it was the root pruning i was a bit gung ho with. I felt I took a bit too much off the one tree. As I said, leaves now looking pale and lacking colour. Does this change your prognosis or is it a gonner Pup?

Do not be hasty it might sulk for awhile then recover, but as with all things living or dying no garantees

Hi guys,
With this heat in Melbourne it looks like another 2 Melaleucas have got dry and crisp leaves. 6 still ok. Still, other posts suggest I might be luckier than some.
I will hang on and soak in seasol every now and then. Makes me think root pruning in early spring next time though. Less risky weather-wise.

Are the crispy ones showing any green under the bark if you scratch the surface?

Good point about the repot and trim this time of year though. Does increase some risks I'd say.
Did you take any of the top when you cut the roots?

Yeh Boics,
I had pruned back the foliage about a week before I had a go at the roots.
Some colour but not bright green under the branch surface.
Looks bleak.
