hi everyone,
I thought I would post up the early progress that my 3 junipers have made.

Here they are when I first bought them.

From there I repotted them, trimmed them and wired them to grow straight up. I also broke up a tile to make a pathway and added pebbles for effect. They are about 2.5 months old now.
Here's a couple of pics.

What do you guys think? And do you have any suggestions for the future of these young bonsai?

looks very neat and reminds me of a walk in a park----there are 'rules' for the placement of single and multiple plantings to achieve the natural feel -some interaction between trees can help- http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonsai_aesthetics -----If you can find a book---"bonsai for the home and garden" by Leonard Webber---in it are plans for multiple plantings

Looks cute and very neat.

My suggestion would be too follow some of the forest/group planting guidelines and boost the number of trees to a minimum of 5 or 7.

One dominant larger tree will also help.

I think there has been some good advice so far - the group can be improved but it's a great first attempt. More trees is a better start for a beginner I think - less trees in harder to pull off. I also agree that different size trees would help as well. Harry Harrington's bonsai4me site has a great article on groups - have a read of it :tu:

I think its great.

The idea of having the path through is a nice touch, never seen anything with that before.

Totally agree with what the others say about different heights and placement of trees, would give the composition more depth...
