Just wondering if there is anything people DON'T feed with power feed. Can you use it on everything???

Just be cautious with the Proteaceae family - mainly banksias here in Oz. You can build it up progressively but don't use full strength straight away. I don't give any of my natives much at all preferring to err on the side of caution.

Look at the NPK, then ask yourself WHY seasol is the same a tonic, before I get my goolags chewed out, by the time you water it down how much of the NPK is left.
Fertiliser should contain sufficient, NPK for plants to benefit, also for specific needs.

By the way it is my opinion no one has to listen to me if the wish not to.

Personally I have no problem using it on any plant. The phosphorous level is low enough not to be a major concern (to me) for Oz natives. Just be sure to follow the directions or make it a little weaker when mixing if concerned.

Thanks for the replies. I figured it probably wasn't going to do to much harm. Just more if anyone had a really bad experience with it.

Thanks Pup, I usually sit up and listen when you speak...I go by the old adage "look at a person's results to know a persons knowledge". Still does mean I get it right though

Yeah Banksia's were my main concern. Will go slow with them and build it up.

I took this approach for a few years til I realised that the natives were starting to go backwards after a few years of starvation. They ALL do much better now that I feed them regularly.
My banksias all got a drink of powerfeed last week along with all the other natives and the exotics - 50ml/9litres (veges, herbs, annuals rate)

Directions are on the back of the container - take your pick whether you use the rate for 'trees' (90ml/9litres) or make it a bit lighter.

My new container now has an analysis (have not seen that on any powerfeed pack before) 12: 1.4: 7 so quite low P for proteacea and ok to use in WA (but says not for use on lawns in WA )

The following is of cause only my opinion. I have been using Powerfeed and Charlie Carp on my trees for years. I alternate between the two. One feed Charlie Carp the next Powerfeed. I use this on all my natives including Banksias. I also feed all my exotics and natives with SeaMungus. The one exception is my Azaleas. They get feed with Azalea food.

PowerFeed is a fertiliser. It has a fish base which is fortified with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium. The ratio of which is 12:1.4:7 respectively. PowerFeed also contains dynamic soil improvers in the form of humic acids. These compounds work at very low rates and are literally like adding liquid composts to the soil. As well as being a quality fertiliser, PowerFeed is also a clay breaker. It stimulates beneficial soil microbial activity and markedly reduces leaching in sandy soils.
