Just wondering what is the best time to repot an Irish Strawberry tree (incase you didn't work that out from the title :palm: ). I have one I want to pot up, any help appreciated.

Hi Josh , there is very little info out there on the Arbutus but i have collected them in all seasons and as rough as guts on doing so . Mine have just began to re-shoot so i wouldn't hesitate to hit it up now for a re-pot . I would be inclined to soak it for a day or so just in case all that rain missed you . The new roots are soft and break off easy and have have a poor root mass at the best of time bit like a cactus , they should be a desert dweller .

Cheers Alpine

Thanks Alpine, we coped the big down pour yesterday but its been windy so stuff is drying quickly so will take your advice. I figured they were tuff as mine seems to shoot back regardless of how I treat it :palm: thanks for the info.

And if I post a pic of mine you still won't have seen one as a bonsai    just an Irish strawberry tree in a bonsai pot :o

I will post one for you later but it's not much and has a long way to go.
