Hey all,

Does anyone have any experience with Pinus Laricio? From what wikipedia tells me it is a subspecies of Pinus Nigra. It has a lighter grey bark, and has quite thin bark plates too.

I recently dug some which were self-seeded from 1912/1914 trees. I would be interested in any info anyone can provide or link me to.

Cheers,

Luke

Hi Luke , mate the Pinus Nigra is my most collected tree over here . Only 3 variants are growing here Pinus Nigra Austriaca , Pinus Nigra Maratima and Pinus Nigra Nigra .

What length needle does the parent tree have ? does it have a spiral twist in the length of the needle ?. I have done about 50 topics covering the 3 species above .

If you search here Pinus Nigra most of the topics will come up .

Cheers .Alpine
