Using very high nitrogen ferts.

I bought some very cheap fertiliser from the reject shop last summer that had a npk of something like 50/10/10
And gave it a go with some of my trees am trying to fatten and had some very interesting results most trees in the ground got a lot of good corse growth and trunks are getting fat . My figs tridents/ plums are responding especially well
This makes sense and its simple.
I just thought to mention it as I have never read of anyone doing this.
I would never use high nitrogen fert if building parts of the tree that will be used to avoid long internodes . Infact I won't be fertilising at all when growing sections of tree that matter eg. Trunk sections/ branches
