I picked up this Trident Maple today, I have been told its a rare variety called Sparky,
Its suppose to have smaller denser leaves with better Autumn colour.
I have attached two pics of the potential fronts.... I am keen on your ideas as for branch placement and styling.
I have cut it back and cleaned it up in order to let it grow crazy this spring for shoot selection.
I am willing to graft branched as I have small cuttings to use as well.

Hi mate,

Good stock. Word of advice though, much easier to thread graft using its own long shoot and better chance of it taking. Grafting will work great on this tree.

:bump: update? :fc:

I am interested to see the leaf characteristics?

Tri2 looks like a good front but be prepared to change it, I reversed on of my tridents this year. Its funny how that happens :lost:
