This is a Mugo I workshopped with Grant and Don Deluca about 4 years back its starting to get a nice overall shape.

Agreed John, a nice overall shape. You must go through a heap of wire mate! Every tree of yours (and you have a lot) seems to be wired from head to toe.

Still need some more wire on your photography though :whistle:

Hi John,

Another season of growth, more buds and short needles, unwire (and if all set) then re wire the smaller branches, set the tips upward and spaced and it should come up fine. Once the older long needles are removed next year even better.

Pull the branches on the left down more vertically possibly and then the minor branches can be seen.

I would move the portion of lowest branch in front of the trunk more to the right..

John good mugos are few and far between and some of yours are really good. I like the shape of this one alot. I have one old one i got off lindsey farr some time ago. I think its due for another style after seeing yours. A quick question do you repot yours the same time as JBP and do they handle root pruning just as well?
