:gday: I have a few hundred seeds of various maples, pines and elms soaking In water for about 20 hours now and all seems to be going well about 3/4 of the seeds have sunk, but I have a question about the Norway maples..

the seeds are still in the pod which is quite large and I was wondering if I should remove the seeds from the pod at any stage??

I had a look at one of the pods that was still floating and decided to experiment and crack open the pod and released the seed and when I did it sank to the bottom with the other seeds still in there pod. :lost:

should I do the same with the other floating pods? should I do it to the pods that have already sunk before putting them in the fridge? or am I hurting the seeds by doing this?

cheers :tu:
