I recently acquired this collected tree from another grower here & have been in love from the moment I saw it. I repotted the day after getting into my own special mix and today started to bring some direction to it.

Very nice, has some great potential

Is that just twine you've used to tie it down?

Jute, I prefer it over twine as it doesnt stretch, the tie points are all loose to minimize damaging the very delicate old bark.

One trunk was wired because it not possible to make the position change by means of string and a third large trunk was removed from the front right as it grew away from the main group too far to be able to realign the brittle wood. Apart from that very little was removed, a few small trunks & smaller branches (some live some dead) to clear out the lines, it will need further adjusting once its had time to grow a while.

I am still a tad jealous of this guy's potential

Just a quick update to show off a most welcome hitchhiker that came with this tree.. a lovely little Orchidaceous leaf, not 100% until it flowers but most likely Caladenia carnea Also visible is the amount of basal shoots that have come up since it was worked
