Juniper I need some advice with this can anyone help

Hey guys I have a Juniper Formenia that I picked up on the weekend I have cleaned and lime sulphured the trunked and cleaned the live vain just need some advice on the outlay of the top any suggestions would be appreciated.

Pretty hard to understand what's going on here from the one pic and your description.
A couple more pictures and a bit more of a brief re. "the outlay of the top" will likely to attract a better response.

Just be careful where the shari/ deadwood touches the soil. Capillary action will cause it to rot in that area. Try to keep wet soil away from the deadwood.

I bought a conifer recently, and started removing the top soil to see the trunk/nebari. They were well bellow the top of the soil. Discovered at the base of the trunk area like a shari. Or maybe just rotten.
I removed all the top soil.
How dangerous is that and what should I do to prevent further damage.
