Hope they survive...

I discovered these Celtis trees around the parameters of the old church I work for. I was given permission to remove them because they're considered weeds. A few weeks ago I prepared them. Yesterday I spoke to one of the gardeners who told me that if he saw any Celtis trees around, stumps or not, whether I wanted them or not, he'd remove them. :o

I went and had a look at the trees I'd prepared and they had already been cut back severely. :palm: I decided to do an emergency transplant. Most already had some feeders near the trunk. :tu: But some were heavily taprooted. :palm:

I've heard Celtis are tough as, and good transplanters. Hoping these ones pull through :fc:

Glad to hear they are doing well! Always nerve-wracking to have to do an emergency harvest like that. Hopefully they keep growing and you end up with some nice trees.

Well done, Dusty! Celtis / Hackberry make great bonsai. They are extremely hardy as you can see from your emergency transplanting. In some states of Australia they are known as weeds and have to be removed.
Good luck!
