Looking great Antonio!
Have you done any root work on them since purchasing them? And if so, at what stage?
Cheers, and Happy New Year.
Dario.

HI Dario belle feste !!! I cut 1/2 the root ball off before repotting into this 12" container. Nothing serious or detailed yet. While growing on there is time, they dont mind being hacked back hard and bare rooted. Then a season or 2 of growing on in a good mix in a 300mm orchid pot bang you will see results, then begin to refine. Always feed aggressively !!!

Thanks for the info mate! I appreciate it
Without over examining things, is part of the reason for not working the roots to heavily when you repotted because you were still looking to build the trunk (not branches)...and major root work would have slowed things down.
Or is it just how you tackled these knowong that they could handle the tough stuff later on?
Thanks again, cheers Dario.

Probably been asked a thousand times, but 'cause I'm lazy I'll just ask again. What do you fertilise these little beauties with Ant'?
I have one sitting in the back yard I was going to do something with, "one day". It kept falling over (prolly due to being nearly 2 metres tall in a 6" pot I guess) so, way before Christmas, I cut it back to around 250mm high, thinking at the time it will probably live if it didn't die. Anyhow, it has sat and sat and done nothing, so yesterday I went to toss it in the bin when I noticed about 35 thousand tiny shoots sprouting from all over it. I figure it took the alternative and is going to live, so guess I should care for it a bit more than I have been.
Yea, I prolly exagerated, there is only 34,000 shoots really.

But I'd still like to know a successful fert for these things, if you don't mind.
