Have you ever seen such a weid fig? All lumps and seeds all along the branches. Would love to grow one but , to date, have not been able to propigate.

Looks like a serious case of nematodes to me although i am not entirely sure figs suffer from this sort of attack

Is it possible to get a better close-up of the bumps?

Jerry, A close up of the bumps. If i get a chance i will remove one of the bumps and dicect it and pot a pic. I am interested to know whats inside the bumps.

The "bumps" are the fruits which form on the trunk and branches rather than on the terminal regions of the branches. It is called cauliflory and I don't think the tree is a fig.

Syzygium cormiflorum is a native species that has this fruiting habit.

I found it with a bit of googling, and had this explaination attached:

"Such structures are not limited to Cerbera odollam. You can see them on Samanea saman (rain tree), Swietenia macrophylla and quite a few of our common roadside trees. From experience, they are often associated with epicormic growth (mainly, they are points where water shoots proliferate). I suspect that they may be just "callus like" tissues which have not decide what they should be, probably due to hormonal imbalances?"

"We do know they are not indicators of internal rot or other structural inadequacies or anomalies. They also do not appear to give any added information on possible adverse tree health and is unlikely the result of pest attacks. As such, we have not dedicate much effort to elucidate the reasons behind the structure."

Hi Bonsai boy is the tree deciduous . It would definitely be an interesting tree to play with.

Where and when was the pic taken? It might give us a clue as to what species it is.

To me it obviously is deciduous.
