Hi guys
i wanted to show you all this juniper air layer i removed late last summer.Its growing well.
I gave it its first style a few weeks ago and jined the trunk . Let me know what youguys think.

It's a good "dragon's head" jin - well done for seeing it.
I'm wondering whether you could bring the the first foliage pad down behind the trunk, and maybe split it so there are two foliage pads to be seen behind the trunk (in the first picture today). The other two branches show a lot of promise, but they are thin compared to the main trunk - maybe consider growing them strongly, with ferts and maybe a bit more root space, to thicken these branches up to match the trunk a bit more.
Just some thoughts - the basic design is strong.

Wow, work in progress for sure but lots of potential. Glad that your air layer went well.
Just a reminder, might seem silly and obvious, but make sure you readjust your wires if growing out the thickness of branches. I think I heard somewhere that thickening the branches sometimes skews the shaping and doing them at the same time obviously means some adjustments.

Here is an up date of this tree. It got a basic wire and the Jin was shortened .

I just gave this Juni a prune today my main aim was to select primary branches.
Any advice is welcome .
