Little Liquidambar

went shopping on the weekend and picked up this Liquidambar styraciflua, Sweet gum for $10!!
I liked the little bend near the base so im going to let it grow and try an airlayer it one day then see where i can go from there

Good luck with your airlayer and well done for thinking outside the box.
Often a great idea to get at least 2 tree's out of one by doing air layers.
Equals much better value for money!
Especially applicable when purchasing stock from nurseries.

That will be the main reason im air layering it and to use that nice bend as the main trunk line
you can never have to many trees !

LOL yes you can !
let it grow hard and fast for a few years, then cut back hard ( layer off the top), to use the lower trunk as the basis for you tree
