Hi,
Bonsai Today number 63, September-October 1999, pages 25 to 31 are about
Casuarina Equisetifolia -- Australian Pine.
Skimming through the article, I have a feeling that it is held in high-regard
by some American artists. At the time of writing, there was one which was
originally from Hawaii and was in the Tropical Conservatory at the National
Bonsai and Penjing Museum in Washington, DC.
(This is old news but I just happen to through Bonsai Today, now that my
dad has handed his collection to me.)
