Goldfields Bonsai Society is having its annual show on the 3rd and 4th of November. We are a small and relatively new club and are appreciative of support by the Bonsai public. I will have a small stall and i will be selling off some bargains. No starters, they will be established trunks in growing pots. Trevor Wheeler will be selling his pots and David Rojo will be there selling tools, wire etc.
When..3rd and 4th of November.
Where.. Castlemaine, the Ray Bradfield rooms, Victory park, Moyston st. It is in the car park of the IGA shopping centre.
Entry..3 dollars, which is bloody cheap.
Looking forward to meeting up with you all.
Bodhidharma.

Thanks Pup, by the way, both Elms are doing great. One was plucked out by a bird and i found it two days later. I stuck it into a grow pot and it burst into life

Sweet, should give me time to get there without rushing to much. Just got to ok it with the missus and the kids as she's writing school reports and I'm looking after the kids. 1 will be happy to come, the other not so much, maybe some bribes coming up
Hope to see you there.

Setup was smooth last night and the setting looks great. I took in a large Shinus Molle (peppercorn) which i defoliated a month ago and i have

that it will produce enough foliage to look impressive this weekend. A bit nervous as it has never come out of its hiding place at my place. looking forward to what people think of it as they are a difficult subject.

I went to the Ballarat show today. It was in the botanical gardens pavilion. I wish that I had known about the goldfields bonsai display. I would have popped in for a look.

Mate, sorry I missed you. It was a great show. Some awesome trees on show. That peppercorn was a cracker. Made me want to go collect a couple more. Do you have Progression photos or any advice on growing them. I have 2 at home (just a little bit smaller than yours) I'm playing with. If they grow I'll go back and look for bigger ones and aim for something like yours
The large (and I mean LARGE) collected Elm was an inspiring tree, what an amazing trunk. Some really good quality trees on show. A credit to the growers
I came home with a couple of pots, and 7 trees

One was a maple with your tag on it, I also got a couple olives and some dwarf elms. Now to get them past my wife.
Thankyou to all who showed trees for taking the time to share your trees with us.
Josh
PS sorry no photos from me. Forgot the camera
