Hey all,
Have had this one for a while now and still no definite direction. Is back budding mentally and lots of growth so its pretty healthy.
Any suggestions? I don't even have a front yet haha

Hi Moganic , mate i would wire it and compress it by 30-50 % with a twist or curl thrown in . A s these thicken they become quite hard . It hard to see the trunk line but it only a suggestion . A big pot will give you 2-3 times the growth . I'm impressed on how quickly these Shimpaku Junipers take off . I re-potted several small ones over the last month and all have bolted , i have a specimen in a bonsai pot which has been there for 2 years and is still very small , its about to go into a large plastic pot probably tomorrow .
Sorry bud only 2 pics came up before answering now there's 4
Cheers Alpine

Mate these things fly! It's pretty hard already to bend these, might have to find some raffia... some of the thinner branches should be okay though.
Wonder if I might bring this over in to work shop somewhere... when my bloody internship finishes

Plans: wet wrapped the longer jinn, waiting for it soak before steam bending it. Then adjust the remaining branches to fit with the design.
WOOP.

Just realised, the wire hadn't been put on at this stage and we forgot to take pics after the wiring was done....

Mate I'm looking to bend the branches into positions tonight, will post pics once that's done. There seems to be more growth now, yet again, and so I'm assuming that the foliage could be reduced a bit more, but I'm going to leave that for now. Once the branches are roughly in place I'll see where this tree is going and contemplate the two jinn idea we had going.
PS love the signature

So here be the latest update...
The leader has been moved forward between a current and prospective jinn and the lower branches roughly positioned. One has a pad going already which will need further development later, however for now I'm letting the tree regain vigour and health. Seasol shots anyone?

Well guys here's the latest... had a bit of a hair styling with Anttall

learnt a fair bit as always and the tree looks the better for it.
Will finish wiring the thinner branches for the apex soon. Just letting it recover for a week or two!
