Hi all,
Im wondering if anyone has gone through the import process to get some large tridents or any other stock in from Japan to Aus?

And how long the quarantine period is, and what effect it had on the tree?
If so, what nurseries have you purchased trees from?
Thanks in advance

I was involved with a few many years ago. Firstly you need an import permit as not all trees are allowed into Australia. Maples are permitted. It is a considerable amount of money to outlay as the tree needs to be airfreighted and couriered to Burnley horticultural college for quarantine for 6 months.
There are fees associated with every aspect of importing.
