Hey,
I had the oppotunity today to visit a site at work which happens to be a Hertage listed estate and along with the houses an cottages some of the old trees (up to 150 years +) are listed too. The main tree in particular was a Norfolk Island Hibiscus (Lagunaria patersonia) which still happened to have a few closed pods left. I managed to get a hold of it and was hoping to grow at least one tree from the seeds (probably only 5 I think). I thought it would have a great story behind what trees may come out of it as this was one of the orignal trees of its kind in the hunter used to propagate seedlings to export around the region. The owner in the mid 1800's collected natives to used to as an income means supplying to local and regional properties for planting. Along with this were whites cedars a listard orchard row of very old citrus trees. a beautiful place all in all :D which I was luch enought to have a guided tour by the current owner.

Anyway the question is; does anyone have any experience in planting Hibiscus seed as I was hoping for at least a 1 in 5 success rate :fc:

Any help would be appreciated

Cheers
