Had fiveoffive around a couple of weeks ago and appreiciated his input. Funny how you look at trees all the time and not see what others might. These 2 JBP ive had for 4 years now. Bought them together as i thought they had promise, both have age , nice bark etc however both had puzzled me as i didnt like there original designs and couldnt come up with a clear alternate til now. I took the plunge the other day and came up with this, Fiveoffive let me know what you think about the left pine, the one on the right apex needs repositioning and both need finer wiring in time but ive already bent over 90degress and teared it somewhat however confident it will survive. Both will get new pots etc next season.

this is a recently aquired mugo pine from 1982. Just restyled it the other day. Due for a repot but ive been looking for a decent mojo for a while and i quite like the twin trunk. Had to cut back alot of heavy branches but regular feeds and a couple of seasons this tree could be a winner

Hey Matt, you have got some more nice looking pines there. I do like the Mugo twin trunks. may I make a suggestion, at the moment the tree looks as though it is going in 2 different directions. If you took the apex of the larger trunk towards the smaller it would pull the composition together.

Hi Mathew , mate its good to get another source of inspiration from another like minded individual . I have plenty of material that others see in a different light , that i have overlooked . Good to see some pics again .

Cheers Alpine
