Shimpaku, need some ideas

We were given this shimpaku about 18 months ago. Can not plant it out but is taking up space. We need to do something with it.
It grows horizonally from the pot, 70cm tall/long, trunk is 4cm across and forks 32cm up the trunk. The foliage is on the tips of the branches, which will take time to bring back in.

Hi Chris, Here is a pic of one, simple posibility that you could go for. Forget the

ugly, barber pole striped trunk. You could also grow a sacrifice branch about half way up to thicken trunk and jin it later. I have a similar one to yours that I am working on with a bit of a radical approach, that I will post in a couple of weeks.

Thanks Hack and Ken for your thoughts. Hack, this tree hasn't the quality for that design. Ken, we think alike. here it is.

Good evening Chris,
I like what you have done very much.
I think you have turned a rather ordinary material into something of great potential. I am looking forward to see it developments.
Best regards.

Doesnt look like you needed any help. Thats a good result considering what you started with. A great excercise in supporting and bending. Well done !!!
