Mel- not sure what kind

here's a pic of a mate's yamadori melaleuca (not sure of the kind) that he collected from the Hunter region of NSW about 2 years ago.
taken out of its foam box and placed on some rocks, i think its a pretty good starting. you'll notice with the feature plants, he's going for a more natural scene look. and it's hanging at my place for a few weeks to recover.

Now Thats what i call a stick in a pot :-).
How come it is bare?

With a full head of foliage it might look OK but bare as :lost: I dunno.

he took some advice from ray nesci and cut off what he had grown as recovery foliage. the tree is healthy and has shoots that cant be seen in that picture. it'll have a full head of hair in no time.
