Hi Jedo, If those figs are growing straight off the trunk, as they look as though they are, then it is not a F.virens. As virens has figs on the smaller twigs and branches, not the trunk.
What area is this tree growing? See link below for Pic's of fruit and leaves.

Thanks for that Hakimoto...
Maybe F.fraseri then...

But the fruit was green rather than yellow>red>black..??
More like virens to my eye...
Anyone else please..??

The leaves don't look "dark green" enough to be a virens - and in the first photo the new growth is green which hasn't been typical of my virens

No idea but this might sound like a silly question - but are you sure it's a fig ? The bark just doesn't look right to me - nor does that light green new growth. The new growth reminds me of a liquid ambar but I know that's not what it is. Where are you again ?

A big challenge..!!
The tree I took these pictures from was 10 - 15 metres tall...
The trunk was maybe 50 - 60 cms across...
A large tree to be a shohin...
Good luck for you

Hello B.Fan - thanks for your input...
Wired has identified this for me as F.racemosa..
Well - yes... I was sure it was a fig because it had figs growing from it...

Good Morning...
Pics and cuttings taken just north of Cairns...
Have seen a huge variety of F. sp in the various patches of rainforest I've visited - meandering slowly up the coast from Townsville and currently in Cooktown...
