Nice one emi!
In the future would you perhaps consider wedging a rock in at the base so that the roots look like they are leaning on it?...not so much ROR style, but just resting on it at the base. It may also provide the illusion of a more powerful trunk with increased taper at the bottom too? (just an idea?).
Perhaps you could also cut back the main straight leader and start to regrow a new one this growing season which could mimick a little more of the nice flowing movement that is already in the bottom of the trunk? (although it may be a hard decision being that you have developed all that ramification in the crown).
Is it a Chinese elm? if so I don't suppose it will be showing a bare winter image, so my last comment may not apply?
I like your elm emi, thanks for sharing and allowing a beginner such as myself the opportunity to comment.
Cheers, Dario.

those roots will never look decent on that tree style--I reckon it should be air layered just above that reverse taper-the air layered tree with a new, decent root spread would have style --the lower trunk and roots removed and styled as root over rock ,exposed root or clump style.

you need to get some movement into the upper section of the tree.
I would be cutting back hard about 1/2 way up that section and regrowing the top.
try to get some taper and movement in the trunk section there.

Hi Dario
Thanks for your positive reply. You are the second person that has suggested wedging a rock on that right hand size and I will defianetly keep an eye out for the right piece.
I realize there are some issues with the top half of the tree that i will rectify this coming season but i thought it would be cool to show the tree Naked
As you can see from the trunk I remove 30% of the trees branching and will probably remove most of the top and rebuild the top of the tree to give it some more movement.
As for the pot I really like it too... it just makes sense for now.
Thanks again Mick

I'll be very interested to see where you go with this, already looking great with that trunk line. Keep it up
